All in all it was a quiet week here at jackassworld—up until Chris Pontius popped his head in, that is, and agreed to mount Shanna’s “Purple Pony” for us in her absence. That’s right, in full “Shanna drag” attire, Chris ever so candidly responded to community member questions about sex, love, and the occasional atrocity in what has since been heralded as our best live show ever. Unfortunately we’ll only be able to replay 12-15 minutes from the full 75 minute stream of unexpurgated fun, filth, and ridiculous banter, but look for this extra special “Purple Pony” program to post on July 4th.
In other live show news, we finally delivered on the threat of a dance party this past Wednesday during jackassworld live (not featuring Earl Parker). Horrified and bemused viewers watched as Rick Kosick, Greg Wolf, and myself took off our shirts and danced—in the loosest definition of the word possible—to Katie’s hot new “NOT NOW” mix (for anyone else who’d like to try a hand at mixing up this sample, go here). Luckily, the cavalry arrived in the form of Johnny Knoxville, Pontius, and Loomis, all of whom closed out the show swapping tales of days gone by in campfire-side fashion.
The jackassworld liberation front has been hard at work in promoting the site far and wide. Recent movements include: Ray “Boom Boom” Chavez starting a radio campaign on Maui’s number one rock station; Kajata creating a number of promotional spots that he posted up on youtube and his profile; and xx Sarah xx managing to get word out about jackassworld on the KISS, SGR FM and RADIO 1 channels. We would also like to thank Tom Green for his help in promoting our site on his site (we’re happy to assist in booking Wolfie whenever you’re ready for him), and the voting community at large here for keeping Wee Man in the line-up over on NBC’s Celebrity Circus.
On the site this week we added a few new and old pee and poo moments with Jeff Tremaine and Dave England, as well as a genuinely jackassworld moment with Shanna. This weekend we’ll be posting up a behind-the-scenes video featuring Eddie Barbanell during the making of his jackassworld weather report, and the new “My Awesome Crap” episode with JxPx Blackmon that we’d promised last weekend but never delivered. Also, the art competition ends on Monday, June 30, so make sure you get any and all voting done before or on that day. We’ll then be announcing the winners and whatnot on Wednesday, July 2, during the jackassworld live show.

And on that arty note, don’t forget to check out the art show deal that Dave England co-curated up in Ojai, CA, to benefit the construction of a new cement park in the new age mountains there. The Village Jester doors open at 6:00pm on Saturday, June 28, with a live performance by Ray Barbee at 8:00pm.
